I came to medicine by way of professional dance.

An injury became a blessing when it threatened my career. As a last ditch effort, I saw a colleague’s acupuncturist.

The treatment acted like magic, utterly rewriting the story around the injury, and my future, entirely. In the space of single hour, my life was returned to me.

I went from needing surgery and getting replaced (what I worked my life for disappearing), hopelessness, anxiety . . . to being back in the game.

I remember calling the company from her office: "I'll be back in rehearsal tomorrow."

That miracle was the beginning of a greater journey. My health transformed through the power of Chinese medicine. My life transformed through its wisdom teachings.

And so it was that I found my next calling, before I'd even concluded my first. I'd been planning on law school after dance. Instead I headed straight to Chinese medicine school the week after I retired.

Over the next 25+ years I would work with thousands of patients, and teach hundreds of students, and devote myself to studying several additional mind-body & energy medicine healing systems.

I came to develop a signature way of integrating and layering multiple therapies for amplified results.

Vision

Beyond our own individual needs for healing, personal energy mastery has the potential to become a common bond between us.

And that, in turn, has the potential to bring much needed healing to how we relate to one other, and so, to initiate healing on a grand scale.

In 2016 I attended a Women's Leadership Conference where the speaker, a futurist, painted the picture coming to life right now: the rise AI, robots, and much more. It was a grim evening as the audience gasped repeatedly.

Afterwards, a former patient greeted me and offered words I'll never forget, "I'm not worried - I'm counting on you. You'll be one of the guardians of humanity."

As we enter a new age of AI, will we give up our humanness to technology? Or will we embrace what most makes us human - our "divinity" technology? The programming inside us, that when enabled, is our ability to transcend, move beyond perceived limitation.

This ageless, timeless part of who we are fundamentally, the spirit of mind-body-spirit, is our energy - our native potential and our tether and access to That Which is Greater.

We use different words to denote that, depending on who we are. IIn some spiritual circles the talk is of our experience of God, Angels, and Higher Beings. In others the words are Consciousness, Infinite Mind. In science, the talk is of neurons acting as antennae tuning us to the Zero Point Field of creation where all information, ever, is stored in a conscious universe.

Art, breakthrough, genius of all kinds isn't something we do, it's something that comes through. We channel it. That's how healing happens in us. Our energy does it. A shift in an energetic pattern takes place, a dynamic turn in how things work. Healers, substances, methods of all kind simply cue it.

We, through our relationship with our energy, or spirit, can activate this technology within.

While the world can seem like a hopeless place full of enmity, division and disaster for so many, we're actually at an inflection point, a tipping point, where enough people are waking up to their energy and the power it holds.

I want to contribute to the shift to the other side of the equation - where energy self-mastery leads to unity, healing and thriving.

I see the transition happening every day in my work: People's lives improving through embracing their humanness and tapping in to their "divinity" - their energy.

And I see the influence that has beyond their own health and wellbeing - to their families, communities, organizations. The shift is possible and real. And available to everyone.

This is spiritual healing. Not a set of beliefs that bind a sect, but direct experience of energy. The science is leading us back to the secrets of energy and biology contained in the wisdom and healing arts of ancient paths and knowledge.

Alive freshly today, and never more relevant.

My role is to make practical and applicable the "what" and "how-to," that we might put down our weapons against ourselves and one another, to move into an age of thriving we've not yet experienced collectively - but can, as one by one we own, and own up to, the power we hold: our connection within, and to That Which is Greater.
